Deakin's Geelong Waterfront Campus is located on the foreshore of Corio Bay in the central business district of Geelong. Originally built as woolstores in 1893, the buildings have been extensively renovated to create a modern and impressive Campus. More than 1200 students are based at the Waterfront Campus which features a 320-seat lecture theatre, cafeteria, library, bookshop, Computer Aided Design (CAD) laboratories and design studios.

Getting to the Geelong Waterfront Campus

By Aeroplane - Avalon Airport
Jetstar operates flights from Brisbane (twice daily) and Sydney (four time daily) to Avalon Airport, which is just 20km from Geelong CBD. The Avalon Airport Shuttle operates transfers to and from Geelong for $18 on a pre-booked service. Call 03 5278 8788 to book your transfer and your plane will be met by the shuttle bus.

By Aeroplane - Tullamarine Airport
All major airlines fly to Melbourne- Tullamarine. Gull Airport Service operates a shuttle bus service 15 times daily between the airport and Geelong for $30 one way. Information and timetable at: http://www.gull.com.au/

By Train & Coach
V/Line trains operate regularly between Southern Cross Station in Melbourne, stopping at Geelong. The Campus is only a five minute walk from Geelong train station.

V/Line coaches run from many regional centres, including the Great Ocean Road and Ballarat, to the Geelong city and Geelong station.

Bus
The centrally located Geelong Waterfront Campus is well serviced by suburban bus lines which operate from the coastal towns through to areas on the outskirts of the city. The number 10 Geelong-Rosewall bus service, the number 55 Geelong-Newcomb bus service and the number 50 and 51 Geelong-Herne Hill-Hamlyn Heights bus service stops in Malop street, which is a five minute walk to the Campus.

All other Geelong bus services stop in the Geelong city, which is a five minute walk to the Campus.

Car
You can drive from Melbourne to Geelong via the West Gate and Princes freeways. Deakin University car parks are classified as Permit Parking Zones and a valid Deakin University parking permit is required at specified times. Parking on campus is limited.
